Woman, her son and daughter crushed by UPSRTC bus in UP's Hardoi

LUCKNOW: Recklessly driving a bus claimed life of a woman and her two children, who were crushed under the wheels of a speeding Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation bus in Hardoi on Sunday.
The trio of Palia police station area were going to take part in a spiritual discourse (Satsang) 25km from their residence.
The deceased were identified as Meera (38), her son Vishwas (18) and her daughter Mohini (05), said the police.
According to the police, Vishwas had purchased new bike last week. He along with his mother Meera and sister Mohini planned to go on a bike to a ‘satsang’ on Sunday. Vishwas was at the wheels while Meera was on the pillion and Mohini on her lap.
Around 2.30pm, they reached Katra-Bilgram highway, and turned towards Khamariya crossing. In the meantime, a speedy UPSRTC bus bearing registration number UP 30 T 6710 hit the bike from rear side.
In the spurt of moment, Vishwas and Meera flung far away due to the impact of the heavy bus. While, Mohini who was on the lap of Meera got crushed under the wheels of the bus.
While, seeing blood splashed on the road onlookers rushed to their assistance. They also informed the police. But the bus driver and conductor managed to escape.
Additional Superintendent of police, Hardoi, (east), K Gyananjay Singh said that soon after information a police team arrived at the hospital and took them to a nearby private hospital where doctors declared them brought dead.
The officer also said that Meera worked as a sweeper in a government school while her husband had died two years back in a similar road accident.
Two hours later police could find an eye-witness Awadesh of Mau district. He narrated the sequence of events of the accident to the police.
The ASP said that an FIR was being registered while teams have been formed to search for the missing bus driver and the conductor.
