Noida: A
home guard attached to Sector 49 police station filed a complaint against his colleagues on Saturday for allegedly misbehaving with him and threatening him after he asked for travel allowance for a night assignment.
The home guard, Bhupendra Kumar, has been reporting to Sector 49 police since February 6.
On Saturday, Kumar had tweeted his complaint, according to which the munshi had asked him to take a duty register to Sector 14 A police station on Friday.
“The distance is around 8km, so I asked for a bicycle. But I was told to take a public transport, for which I asked for the fare, but the munshi got angry on this and after a brief argument, the munshi asked me to go home and also threatened me that a letter regarding this will be sent to the home guard office,” alleged Bhupender.
The guard claimed he tried to talk to the SHO and other seniors as well, however, he was asked to leave for the day.
“The next day, the SHO gave me the duty of driving the police vehicle, however, in the evening that too was taken away and I was again asked to return home. How can they ask me to leave, especially when I get paid on a daily basis,” he added. Bhupender shared his complaint on social media through which police took cognizance of his case. He later filed a written complaint at the commissioner’s office in Surajpur. Vedpal Singh, district commandant (home guards) said, “We will take an action soon.”
