LUDHIANA: Members of various communities donated blood as a mark of protest against the "Black" law of
CAA during protest sit-on at "
Shaheen Bagh" of Ludhiana on Sunday. The blood donation camp was organized by
Rehras society.
Muhammad Mustakeem, private secretary of Shahi Imam Punjab, said that in the blood donation camp, members of Sikh, Muslim, Hindu and Christian communities donated blood to register their protest against Modi government’s "black" law. He added that
Shahi Imam Punjab Maulana Habib Ur Rehman Saani Ludhianvi also visited the protest sit to boost the morale of protesters.
Addressing the gathering, Shahi Imam said that divisive forces should come and witness that blood of every community member is red and no power on earth can change it. He added that those calling protesters as Tukde Tukde gang should know that people have come out to defend the constitution and their self respect.
"Government machinery and political conspiracy cannot muzzle the voice of protestors," head priest said. He added that Shaheen Bagh at Ludhiana is a part of Delhi’s Shaheen Bagh where people of various religions bloom in the garden and assert to the enemy they will not allow it (Garden) to be destroyed.
Shahi Imam said that he sees such Shaheen Baghs coming up in every city, town and village of the country.
In his address to the protesters, former MLA Shingara Ram Sehonganda said that no one will be allowed to take away the rights given to them by the architect of Constitution B R Ambedkar. He added that seeing the members of various communities protesting against CAA and NRC together at Shaheen Bagh he feels that mission of B R Ambedkar is moving forward.
