PUNE: Six-year-old Dhruvi Padwal from Pune achieved the feat of climbing 450 feet at Tanaji Kada at Sinhagad fort recently -- and her inspiration was none other than Ajay Devgn starrer Bollywood movie Tanhaji.

Dhruvi tried to recreate Maratha king Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s military General Tananji Malusare’s feat when he conquered the fort early in 1670.

Harshada Padwal, the girl’s mother, said, “Dhruvi showed her skills in climbing when she was three years old and we decided to develop it with professional guidance.”

Dhruvi is a Class 1 student in MIT Vishwashanti Gurukul Schools in Kothrud.

Her mother revealed that Dhruvi was introduced to climbing at Raje Shivaji Climbing Wall in Shivajinagar.

“Recently when we watched Tanhaji movie, she got inspired from it, approached her teacher, showed interest to climb the Tanaji cliff at Sinhagad fort,” said Padwal.

“We first took her to the Sinhagad fort before the final climbing for a rehersal and she tried climbing small rocks on the western side of the fort.”

Subsequently on February 19, she climbed the fort starting 8.40 am and finishing at 11.40 am.
