Psychology paper ‘tricky’, French ‘easy’, say board exam students

Ludhiana: Students of classes X and XII had their French and Psychology exams respectively on Saturday. Most of the Class XII students found the short questions in the Psychology paper ‘tricky’, while Class X students found the French exam the ‘easiest’.
Navpreet Bhathal, head of the Psychology department in BCM Arya Model School at Shastri Nagar, said, “Mostly, the short questions were direct and easy, but a few chapters were not touched like Intelligence and Chapter 9 on developing psychological skills.”
Akshita Aggarwal — who wants to pursue BA with Psychology Honours — appeared for the Psychology paper, and said, “According to me, the paper was lengthy, but I finished it on dot. As compared to others, I am pretty fast in writing, and overall, the paper was well-balanced. They have introduced high-order questions of 17 marks in objective type that required a lot of thinking, and those were indeed challenging.”
However, students of Class X, who appeared for the French exam, claimed it was easy. Shubhi Jain of BCM Arya Model School, Shastri Nagar, who chose French as an optional subject, said, “The paper was easier than expected, as most of the questions contained choices. I completed it well in time. The paper was balanced, as even weak students were able to do it well.” Roopanshi, who too appeared for the exam, said, “The exam was easier than expected, with ample internal choices provided. All in all, the paper was quite easy to understand even for an average student.”
Ananya, another student of French, stated, “The exam was easy, as there were many internal choices. In fact, the comprehension question was also picture-based and simple. I had finished my exam within two hours.”
