Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg has staffers on the company’s communications team who blowdry his armpits ahead of big events, a new book claims.
The detail comes from the book “Facebook: The Inside Story” by Wired magazine’s Steven Levy, which comes out later this month and was reviewed by Bloomberg’s Austin Carr. In his review, Carr references how the Facebook CEO appears to be “consumed by his public image” based on accounts in the book.
There’s some context that supports the notion that Zuckerberg sweats under pressure: the CEO visibly sweated in an on-stage interview with tech journalist Kara Swisher at an event in 2010.
When asked about the claims, Facebook spokesperson Liz Bourgeois said: “I doubt this is true and if so it would have been at our communications team’s request...”
