The brother of Paul Pogba has added fuel to the fire regarding the Frenchman’s future at Manchester United, saying: “Everyone knows that Paul wants to leave.”
Mathias Pogba, who was a fan favourite at Wrexham during a two year stint with the North Wales club, was speaking to El Chiringuito TV, and has added more speculation of his brother’s future.
Mathias said of his brother’s ambitions: “He wants to play Champions League football and win titles.
“We all know that won’t happen at United. We will see what happens this summer.”
Mathias’ comments come in the wake of a Twitter rant from Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola, who said that his client isn’t the property of United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Pogba has missed a majority of the season through injury, and speculation about his future has been rife all season, after he claimed he was seeking a ‘new challenge’ during a pre-season interview.
Mathias signed for Wrexham in September 2010 after a successful trial and went on to make 68 appearances and scored 15 times for the Dragons.
He was offered a new deal by the Dragons in the summer of 2012, but opted to join Crewe Alexandra on a two-year deal instead.
