Rajkot: Depressed girl student hangs self

RAJKOT: Depressed over ATKT she got in the final year of her engineering exam, a girl student hanged herself to death from the ceiling of her hostel room in Sanjayraj Rajyaguru Engineering College on the outskirts of Rajkot on Wednesday evening.
The deceased was identified as Rita Gohel (20), a native of Jamnagar.
“Gohel’s family members and the hostel mates said that she had sunk into depression ever since she had received ATKT in the final exam. On the fateful evening, she locked herself up in her room and hanged herself, using her dupatta,” said Raidhan Dangar, assistant sub-inspector with Kuwadawa Road police station.
