Man charged over 2012 death of Lithgow woman Jenoa Sutton

Police have charged a man with murder in relation to the 2012 death of a woman in Lithgow.

Emergency services were called to a home on Macaulay Street, Lithgow, on the afternoon of March 8, 2012 after the body of 27-year-old Jenoa Sutton was found in the bathroom.

A post-mortem examination found Ms Sutton had died of a head injury and drowning.

Detectives from the State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad, together with Chifley Police District, established Strike Force Aubin to investigate the circumstances surrounding her death.

Strike force detectives arrested a 50-year-old man at a business in Katoomba just before 11am on Thursday. He was taken to Katoomba Police Station and charged with murder.

The Bowenfels man was refused bail to appear at Penrith Local Court on Friday.
