Four robbers arrested in Anjar

Rajkot: Four robbers were arrested on Wednesday for their alleged involvement in loot of Rs16 lakh in Anjar of Kutch district in December 2018.
Police said Harsh Thakkar (19), Deepak Thakkar (27) and Chandresh Bhatia (24) had allegedly provided information about the victim to main accused. Also arrested was Karan Bhatia (26), one of the accused, who had committed the loot.
Bhatia, Haresh Makwana, Mahendra Gohil, Vinod Vaghela and Sagar Nai had thrown chilli powder in the eyes of a staffer of an automobile showroom and snatched his bag containing Rs16 lakh cash before fleeing on their motorcycles.
“We arrested the accused on the basis of a tip-off about their hideout in Gandhidham,” said M S Rana, sub-inspector with Gandhidham local crime branch.
