Kerala state conference of Ayurvedic doctors will be held on Feb 23
Over 1000 delegates including private medical practitioners, Ayurvedic college teachers, Government medical officers, doctors in the field of medicine manufacture, researchers and PG students will attend the conference.

KOZHIKODE: The 41st Annual Council of the Ayurvedic Medical Association of India (AMAl) will be held at Dr Prakash Mangalassery Nagar Parappan International Convention Centre, Kottakkal, on February 23.
Over 1000 delegates including private medical practitioners, Ayurvedic college teachers, Government medical officers, doctors in the field of medicine manufacture, researchers and PG students will attend the conference.
Labour and Excise Minister T P. Ramakrishnan will inaugurate the conference on February 23. Dr. Raju Thomas., State President, AMAI will preside over the function. E.T Muhammad Basheer MP, Abdu Rab MLA, Abid Hussain Thangal MLA and K T Rashida will be the chief guests on the occasion.
The state meet would address several underlying issues and crisis in Ayurveda practice and chalk out effective action plans to address them.
Dr V G Udayakumar, Organizing Chairman and technical Director Dhanwanthari Vaidyasala, Thodupuzha said that despite being the safest medicine and treatment system which set best life style standards and eating habits, unhealthy competition in medical sector has given rise to a deliberate propaganda that Ayurvedic medicine system has harmful effects.
AMAl will also release the protocol for integrated actions in Ayurvedic sector to deal with emergencies like Flood situations and spread of epidemics. The conference will also discuss various problems faced by doctors in Ayurvedic field of medicine including the prevalence of unqualified and unregistered medical practitioners.
