Thane: KDMC chief suspends three senior civic staff after surprise visit to city's skywalk, video goes viral

THANE: Cracking a whip, the newly joined Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal Corporation (KDMC) commissioner Dr Vijay Surywanshi on Thursday suspended three senior civic officials for not taking action against illegal hawkers sitting on skywalk in Kalyan and Dombivli railway stations.
The video of Surywanshi has also gone viral on social media in which he can be seen roaming alone without any civic official as normal public with only one of his security guard. After visit, Surywanshi ordered staff to clear hawkers from skywalk giving them a time of one hour. Meanwhile after video went viral on social media, citizens are appreciating Surywanshi for his act.
The three suspended civic officials are identified as Ganesh Mane, chief of Anti Hawkers Squad, Bharat Pawar, ward officer of K ward and Deepak Shinde ward officer of F ward.
