Aam Aadmi Party chief Arvind Kejriwal has recently become the chief minister of the state for the third time after registering a landslide victory in the Delhi Assembly elections. Arvind Kejriwal has come into action, seizing the post of Chief Minister for the third consecutive time.
The Arvind Kejriwal government has once again started a campaign for free travel for women in the Delhi Metro. Delhi Transport Minister Kailash Gehlot said that the government is committed to the free travel scheme for women in the Delhi Metro.
Gehlot said that the Aam Aadmi Party government will continue to negotiate with the Narendra Modi government at the Center for permission to implement this scheme. He said that the Arvind Kejriwal government would bear the entire cost of the scheme.
Significantly, in the recently held Delhi Assembly elections, the Aam Aadmi Party won 62 out of 70 seats. Whereas the opposition Bharatiya Janata Party had to settle for only eight seats. Congress could not even open an account in this election.
