New Delhi: Here is the perfect example of confusion confounded—which reflects the Congress party’s present predicament.
Former Congress president Rahul Gandhi targets the Congress government in Rajasthan over the torture of two Dalit men.
The recent video of two young Dalit men being brutally tortured in Nagaur, Rajasthan is horrific & sickening. I urge the state Government to take immediate action to bring the perpetrators of this shocking crime to justice.
— Rahul Gandhi (@RahulGandhi) February 20, 2020
And, surprise, surprise, who does he have for company? BJP IT cell head Amit Malviya.
Instances of brutality against Dalits just don’t seem to end in Congress ruled Rajasthan…
A group of men thrashed and inserted a screw driver in the anus of a Dalit youth in Nagaur for allegedly stealing 500 rupees.

Then, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot tweets his government’s actions against the attackers.
In the horrific incident in Nagaur, immediate and effective action has been taken and seven accused have been arrested so far. Nobody will be spared. The culprits will be punished according to the law and we will ensure that the victims get justice.
— Ashok Gehlot (@ashokgehlot51) February 20, 2020
Journalist Aadesh Rawal points out Gehlot’s actions to Rahul Gandhi’s social media team.
I don’t know who is handling Rahul Gandhi’s Twitter Handle. He doesn’t know, that his own Government has already arrested the culprits. https://t.co/2SBDuwaAr4
— Aadesh Rawal (@AadeshRawal) February 20, 2020
Whereupon, Congress’ social media communicator Gaurav Pandhi turns everything on its head and manages to compliment Rahul Gandhi for his ignorance of Gehlot’s actions. Truly mind-boggling.
All of the 7 accused were arrested by Congress Govt in less than 24 hrs of the incident, yet it didn't stop @RahulGandhi from demanding justice for survivors from his own party's Govt.
That's the kind of leader India needs, who thinks for people & not PR of his Govt! ✌️ https://t.co/PorvDNWIdX

In more trouble for the Congress, MP Shashi Tharoor agrees with former MP Sandeep Dikshit on his plea to the party leadership.
What @SandeepDikshit said openly is what dozens of party leaders from across the country are saying privately, incl many w/ responsible positions in the Party. I renew my appeal toCWC to hold leadership elections to energise workers&inspire voters. https://t.co/cotzJsRZnm

And the ‘chokha-dhoka’ award goes to RJD leader Tej Pratap Yadav for this pun on PM Narendra Modi lunchtime treat, yesterday.

Historian Ramachandra Guha sets the record straight on claims by the Home Minister of Karnataka.
The Home Minister of Karnataka has claimed on the floor of the State Assembly that he apologized to me by phone for the manhandling by the Bengaluru police on 19th December 2019. This is false. I received no such call or apology. 1/2

US President Donald Trump brings down another Democrat, in this case the mighty ‘Mini’ Mike Bloomberg who attended his first Democratic presidential debate Thursday.
Mini Mike Bloomberg’s debate performance tonight was perhaps the worst in the history of debates, and there have been some really bad ones. He was stumbling, bumbling and grossly incompetent. If this doesn’t knock him out of the race, nothing will. Not so easy to do what I did!

US Democratic senator and presidential candidate Elizabeth Warren also pins down Bloomberg for disrespecting women.
I hope you heard what Mayor Bloomberg’s defense of decades of mistreatment to women was: “I’ve been nice to some women.”
That just doesn’t cut it. #DemDebate

And here’s another male offender: does Gopal Krishna Agarwal even deserve to be a BJP national spokesperson after this crude sexist and misogynistic remark?
Here is a picture of two fallen women who became she-dogs because they cooked for their husbands while on their period in their last life. You can tell they're sorry from their body language. pic.twitter.com/cRK9dccTPd
