There Are Nearly 2,600 New C7 Corvettes For Sale With Generous Discounts In The U.S.

The mid-engined 2020 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray has finally hit the production line but there remain heaps of C7 Corvettes sitting on dealership lots across the United States looking for homes.

During a recent press event for the C8 Corvette, the guys over at Corvette Blogger were informed by Chevrolet marketing manager Steve Majoros that there are around 2,600 new C7 Corvette models just waiting to be snapped up. Chevrolet expects this number to drop to less than 2,000 by the 1st of March.

Shortly after the new Corvette was unveiled in July last year, it emerged there was a touch over 6,000 examples sitting in dealerships.

While the C8 model has been the subject of headlines for the past eight months or so, it’s worth remembering that the C7 is still a superb sports car and now could be a great time to buy one thanks to generous discounts available. Those in the market for a 2019 Z06 can find one with an $8,338 discount straight from Chevrolet and it’s likely that many dealerships are also offering their own discounts in a bid to shift inventory.

In December, Chevrolet was offering the C7 with $3,000 in owner loyalty cash to current Corvette owners, alongside a $6,404 price reduction below MSRP across all models, resulting in potential savings of up to $9,404.

If you’re not sold on the design of the C8 Corvette, prefer a front-engined sports car, and want a six-speed manual transmission, the C7 could be the car to go for.
