Coroners in the UK have confirmed the official cause of Caroline Flack's death.

The former Love Island host was found dead in her home in London last week from an apparent suicide.

On Wednesday a coroner listed the cause of death as suicide by hanging, reports Variety.

The TV personality was due in court next month on charges of assaulting her boyfriend, Lewis Burton, with whom Flack had been in a relationship with since early 2019.

Caroline's family released an unpublished post in which the 40-year-old addresses the incident that resulted in her losing her job, her home, and turning the life of both her and her family upside down.

"My family can't take any more. I've lost my job. My home. My ability to speak," she said. "And the truth has been taken out of my hands and used as entertainment. I can't spend every day hidden away, being told not to say or speak to anyone."
