A father who was given a suspended prison term and warned to stay away from his ex-partner went straight to her home after leaving court.
Robert Christopher Fay was handed an eight-week prison term, suspended for a year, by a judge at Caernarfon Crown Court on January 23.
The 33-year-old, of Chapel Street, Wrexham, had been made subject of a two-year Restraining Order by magistrates at Mold last March.
But he had breached it three times and appeared in court again after going to her home on Christmas Day.
At the last hearing, Judge Huw Rees said he wanted "something hanging over him" but he had ignored the warning.
Appearing via videolink from prison, Fay admitted breaching the order for a fifth time on January 23.
Jailing him for 12 months Judge Rees said: "On January 23, I made clear to you what the consequences would be. You went on to blatantly breach the order the same day. You seem not to have learnt your lesson."
Elen Owen, prosecuting, said Fay had gone to the house at about 9.30pm that evening uninvited. He left after his ex-partner, Lisa Edwards, called a friend and alerted police.
Defence counsel Henry Hills said: "There's not a great deal I can say.
"He understands he was given an opportunity and a clear warning at the last occasion and he has to face the consequences."
Mr Hills asked the court to give due credit for the guilty plea at an early stage.
