Mysuru: The authorities of Mysuru City Corporation (MCC), appreciating pourakarmikas for their round-the-clock effort in keeping the city clean, have decided to screen Kannada movie ‘Kaanadanthe Maayavadanu’ free for them in the city theatre.
Sharing the details during a press meet on Wednesday, MCC commissioner Gurudatta Hegde said that the movie will be screened for free at Woodlands Theatre on February 21 and 22 for pourakarmikas.
“Nearly 2,750 pourakarmikas working round-the-clock to keep the city clean will watch the movie free-of-cost. Arrangments have been made for them to watch the latest movie at 4.30 pm and 7.30 pm show,” he said.
Actor Vikas said that the movie is produced by Back Benchers Motion Picture which is running good in theatres throughout the state.
“The cinema team wanted the pourakarmikas also to share the joy and had arranged the special shows for two days. The pourakarmikas must visit the theatre with their family members but had to just show their identity cards to watch the movie,” he said.
Mayor Tasneem, deputy mayor C Sridhar, health officers D G Nagaraj and film director Raj Pathipati were present.
