Gujarat: Student booked for abusing lecturer, thrashing principal

RAJKOT: An undergraduate student has been booked for abusing a lady teacher and thrashing principal of a college in Jamnagar. The agitated student had allegedly hurled abuses towards other teachers as well and threatened to kill the principal.
According to police complaint registered with Sikka police station of Jamnagar town, the student identified as Yogesh Sindhav tried to enter classroom in mid lecture on Wednesday noon. The lecturer Hetal Bhatt interrupted the accused Sindhav to enter in the class in mid lecture and asked him to wait till the lecture ends.
The second year B.Com student got aggrieved by Bhatt's interruption and started hurling abusive words and asked her to leave the classroom. Bhatt informed the principal Mahavirsinh Jadeja who rushed to the classroom but he too was abused and thrashed by Sindhav.
Jadeja also received minor injuries during the clash. The other teachers and staff members rushed to the classroom, hold Sindhav and asked him to leave the college. According to Bhatt, Sindhav also dared them to file a police complaint and threatened Jadeja to kill. The student has been booked under IPC sections 353, 332, 186, 506(2) and 504.
