Realtors\, oil companies evince interest in NHAI land

NEW DELHI: Leading realtors, oil marketing companies, among others, have evinced interest in the national highway building authority’s land monetisation plan and are scheduled to meet with the government to discuss the policy on Thursday.

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) is planning to augment its toll revenue by monetising a part of land parcels it acquired saalong its flagship Delhi-Mumbai expressway to begin with.

ET had reported on February 6 that NHAI has reached out to real estate developers, hotel chains, conglomerates, including DLF, JLL, Reliance Fuel, L&T Construction, Accor Group that owns Pullman Hotels, Oyo and Lemon Tree among others for developing wayside amenities along the said expressway. “IOCL, HPCL, Reliance, JLL, Knight Frank, and CBRE are among players which have shown interest,” an official told ET.
