Uttar Pradesh: 34 students caught using unfair means

ALLAHABAD: Over 2.39 lakh students skipped the UP Board class 10 and 12 examinations which took off across 7,786 centres in the state on Tuesday.
A total of 1,57,042 students of class 10 did not appear for the exams on the first day while 82,091 students of class 12 skipped the paper.
Examination of Hindi was scheduled on the first day.
At least 34 examinees were caught using unfair means.
Seven FIRs were also lodged in various districts wherein six were against male examinees and 1 against an outsider who was facilitating cheating.
Manda police on Tuesday arrested a man on charges of appearing for high school examination in place of a candidate at Babu Fateh Bahadur Singh Inter College, Chilbila.
