Mohali: 7-year-old lured with candies, raped

The Mohali police have registered a case after a seven-year-old girl was allegedly raped in Dhakoli.
The girl's mother in her complaint said her daughter had gone out to play when an unknown person lured her with candies and raped her on Monday evening.
The woman found her at the rear of their house around 10pm. Police said when the child st started bleeding, her family took her to a civil hospital for a medical examination on Tuesday morning. The report cofirmed sexual assault.
Police registered a case under Sections 376 (punishment for rape) and 377 (unnatural offences) of the Indian Penal code and Sector 6 of the Pocso Act. The accused is yet to be arrested.
