Ludhiana cop, driver held with heroin

LUDHIANA: The special task force (STF) on Wednesday arrested an inspector deputed as SHO at police station division number 2, in Ludhiana Commissionerate with heroin. The inspector along with his driver were arrested following a tip-off.
The arrested police personnel is identified as Amandeep Singh Gill. He recently joined at police station Division Number 2 and earlier was SHO at police station Division Number 7 in Ludhiana. Prior to that, the inspector served at police station Division Number 1 for several years in Ludhiana.
According to sources in the Ludhiana unit of STF, the cop is also facing charges of corruption.
The STF will soon organise a press conference in this matter.
