UP: Cop commits suicide at Mughalsarai police station in Chandauli

VARANASI: A police constable Ashutosh Mishra (27) shot himself with rifle of colleague to end life in barracks of Mughalsarai police station in Chandauli district on Wednesday morning.
On getting information SP Chandauli Hemant Kutiyal, ASP Premchand and other officials reached the spot while the forensic team was also called there for evidence collection. Kutiyal said that motive behind suicide could not become clear so far.
Mishra, a native of Banda district was a 2016 batch constable. He was posted at Mughalsarai police station in Pt Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Nagar of Chandauli district. Mishra was present in the barrack of the police station in morning when his colleague reached there and after keeping his rifle on his bed the latter went to the toilet.
