Kolkata: Two submit forged papers, get Rs 37 lakh loan

KOLKATA: Cops from the Gariahat police station arrested two persons who allegedly posed as railway officials and submitted forged documents to a bank in south Kolkata to secure a home loan of around Rs 37 lakh.
The loan was sanctioned and the accused — Subrata Maity (38) and Shankar haldar (37) — misappropriated the funds by encashing the loan disbursal order. They were arrested from Mullickpur in South 24 Parganas.
