Jason Humphreys, a 39-year-old Sydney truck driver, was arrested following a vehicle stop at Panania, in Sydney's western suburbs, about 5pm on Monday.
Police will allege Mr Humphreys sexually assaulted the girl on several occasions at a home in Sydney's south west in early February.

It's also alleged Mr Humphreys kept the young girl hidden in his truck's cab while leaving Sydney for the ACT last week.
Police will further allege he physically and sexually assaulted the girl in the truck during the drive to Canberra.
When they returned to the Sydney suburb of Lurnea, where he had a rented room, he allegedly sexually assaulted the girl again, The Sydney Morning Herald reported.
It's alleged the pair met on Snapchat in December before meeting in person in February.
Child Abuse and Sex Crimes Squad Commander Detective Superintendent John Kerlatec said the man and girl were not known to each other before they met up.
'There is no information to suggest the man was pretending to be anyone else online before he met the alleged victim,' Superintendent Kerlatec said.
'There was a level of grooming, and I won't say sexual grooming at this stage, but a level of befriending and enticing the girl to meet up.
'We will allege that the sexual grooming took place after they met up.'
Superintendent Kerlatec said it was extremely concerning that despite the tireless work of Task Force Trawler they were still encountering these cases regularly.
'It’s certainly concerning, it’s concerning in regards that as many times as I stand up here and talk about the arrests that Strike Force Trawler has made that cases do occur day in day out,' he said.
Mr Humphreys faces 17 offences, including sexual intercourse with a child aged between 10 and 14, aggravated sexual intercourse and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
He was refused bail to appear at Bankstown Local Court on Tuesday and police say investigations are continuing.

Police said there was no indication Mr Humphrey's pretended to anyone other than himself before allegedly meeting and sexually assaulting the 13-year-old girl
