Kannur University authorities on Monday said there was no technical objection for
Allan Shuhaib, who is facing UAPA charges, in appearing for his LLB examination.
Earlier in the day, the
Kerala high court had ordered the university to take a decision on restoring him on the rolls for the five-year LLB programme. He was removed from the rolls citing continuous absence.
The court had asked the university to decide on allowing Allan to appear for the exam as an ad hoc arrangement. The university controller of exam said the student can appear for the exam if the court has allowed him. However, the result will be announced only after the department head gave an attendance certificate.
