A Queensland driver captured the moment he was attacked by a man wielding a hammer while waiting at a traffic light.
The man, who was not identified, shared footage of the terrifying incident that took place at an intersection in Townsville's CBD on Sunday.
Footage shows the juvenile attacker - who is believed to have been riding in a suspected stolen car opposite the driver - exiting the vehicle before hurling the hammer through his window.

The driver, clearly startled, then drives away covered in broken shards of glass.
The man was not hurt but believed the attacker had been aiming for his head after realising he was being filmed.
'They obviously saw me and this guy came out of the car with the hammer and he was going for my head, no question about it,' he told the Townsville Bulletin.
'He smashed at the window a couple of times and the hammer's landed in my car.
'Somehow it didn't hit me and I wasn't hurt, but it could've been a lot worse.'

The driver said he had seen the Mazda CX-5 speeding earlier and suspected it was stolen because the passengers appeared young in age.
The group of youths are believed to have been involved in a string of attacks later that day including an alleged attempted carjacking of a tradesman at knifepoint.
Three of the juveniles at one point allegedly fled in another stolen car, an orange Holden Commodore, which was found on Monday morning.
A teenage girl has been charged with the unlawful use of a motor vehicle, while three other suspects remain at large, police said.
