AHMEDABAD: A salesman with a jewellery firm in Satellite on Tuesday filed a complaint with city police stating that a man had bought a gold chain worth Rs 62,000 from the jewellery firm and then showed a message of successful transaction in his cellphone, which was fake.
In his FIR with Satellite police, Bimal Soni, 47, states that he works with RH Jewellers near Shivranjani Crossroad in Satellite. On October 5, 2019, a man had come to the jewellery shop and introduced himself as Ketan Dave and talked in such a way that he belongs to a very rich family, states the FIR.
He then asked for gold chains and after seeing various gold chains, he had chosen one. The accused said that he would send the money through online transaction and after a while he showed a message of online transaction of Rs 62,000 to Soni and then left the shop.
Later, Soni found that no such transaction was made.
