CBI court grants anticipatory bail to ED's former deputy director in bribery case

CHANDIGARH: The special court of the Central Bureau of Investigation granted anticipatory bail to the former deputy director of Enforcement Directorate Gurnam Singh in a graft case on Tuesday.
He was booked under a bribery case on January 29 this year and the CBI also raided his house following which he had moved anticipatory bail in the court.
Gurnam Singh was serving as ED deputy director from 2012 till 2017. He had demanded bribe to settle a complaint in a case related to money laundering. He is also accused in a Rs 600-crore Ponzi scam, where he has been granted anticipatory bail.
