HYDERABAD: In yet another tragic incident, a person was killed while four others suffered injuries after the car they were travelling in fell from the Bharatanagar flyover, in the early hours of Tuesday.
The deceased, Sohel (27), a resident of Borabanda along with his friends, were proceeding from Bharathnagar to Erragadda when the accident occurred at 2.50am.
His four other friends, Irfan, Ashwak, Ghouse and Sunny, who were behind the wheels sustained injuries and were shifted to Gandhi Hospital, Secunderabad. According to police, Sunny was rash driving and lost control of the vehicle.
The car fell from the flyover, Sohel who was sitting on the front seat with Sunny, died on the spot after sustaining multiple injuries. Sanathnagar police registered a case under section 304-A (causing death by negligence) of IPC.
This incident came months after a car fell off the Biodiversity flyover in, killing one woman on November 23. The victim was standing below the flyover and a speeding car flew off the flyover crashed on the road, and hit her.
