Surat: Three persons were booked at Umra police station on Monday for threatening a resident of Ved Road in Circuit House over a financial dispute on July 23.
Police booked Hardik Dhameliya, Pathubha Gohil and an unidentified associate of theirs for allegedly threatening to kill Sanjay Kalathiya who had invested money in a plot of land in partnership with the former. He had demanded Rs1.54 crore back from Dhameliya in 2019 but the accused kept making excuses.
Kalathiya was threatened by Dhameliya, who was carrying a gun in July 2019 in the Circuit House where they earlier had several rounds of meetings, Kalathiya was being pressurised by the accused to accept lesser amount.
"The complainant came to know about an offence registered against Gohil of threatening someone after which he approached us claiming that he too was a victim,” police said. Pathubha Gohil was booked at Umra police station on February 4 for allegedly threatening a travel businessman in a financial dispute. Gohil and his associate Pradhyumansinh Gohil had been booked for allegedly threatening to kill Dinesh Anghad in the Circuit House. Both the accused were arrested by police.
