AGRA: Three people, including a woman and her paramour, were arrested by Firozabad district police on Tuesday for murder. The duo allegedly bludgeoned her husband, who hailed from Delhi, to death.
Identified as Kapil Chand (30), the victim was a resident of Jamia Nagar, Okhla and used to work in a local factory in Delhi. He married Khushboo of Rasoolpur, Firozabad in 2015. A year-and-a-half later, Khusboo filed a case against him for domestic violence. The couple has a three-year-old son.
“On February 10, Kapil had come to Firozabad for a hearing of the case in the district court. Later, in the evening, he went to his wife’s place, where he met her paramour, Ajay Kishore alias Chandan, her brother, Brijesh, and Ajay’s acquaintance Pramod. They offered him liquor and after he fell unconscious, Khusboo, her paramour and others allegedly bludgeoned him to death with an iron rod and dumped his body in an open area under Ramgadh police jurisdiction, “said Shyam Singh, station house officer of Ramgadh.
“Five days later, Kapil’s body was found. His relatives had lodged a missing complaint. They identified his body after which the FIR was converted to murder. During the probe, we found that the victim was an alcoholic. His wife alleged that he used beat and she had filed a domestic violence case against him. While staying with her parents, Khusboo fell in love with her neighbor, Ajay Kishore, who is also married and has a six-month-old daughter. The two wanted to live together and decided to eliminate Kapil,” added SHO.
Police have recovered the iron rod and rope used in murder of Kapil. Khusboo, Ajay Kishore and Pramod were arrested but Brijesh is on the run.
