MUMBAI: On Sunday night, a SpiceJet loader was injured and the outer surface of its Boeing 737 aircraft right-side engine was damaged after a speeding tug driver hit a cargo loading belt attached to the aircraft.
A SpiceJet spokesperson confirmed the incident. "The driver inadvertently accelerated the cargo tug (electric vehicle pull baggage trolley) hitting BFL (used for bulk freight loading) and eventually the cowling. There was no passenger or crew onboard. A loader suffered minor injury on his leg and was provided medical assistance. He is stable," said the SpiceJet spokesperson.
