HSC examination 2020 to start tomorrow

PUNE: The Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examination conducted by the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) will be starting in across the state from Tuesday, February 18.

A total of 15,05,027 students have registered to answer the examination this year. Out of these, interestingly, in the second year after scrapping of the sections of article 370 of the Constitution, 150 students have registered as transgender this year.

A total of 6,657 students with disabilities of 22 kinds have registered for the examination.

The HSC practical examinations were conducted from February 1 to 17.

Just like the last couple of years, the Board has appealed to the students to reach the examination centre exactly 30 minutes before the examination begins. "If the examination starts at 11, the students are expected to reach the centre by 10.30am, for the afternoon sessions, the students must reach by 2.30 pm. For unexpected situations where the students were late due to genuine reasons, we have asked the centre heads to take a call depending on the gravity of the situation, and send us a report," Kale said.

There will be police bandobast at each centre to prevent any kind of untoward incident or malpractices, wherein at least two constables will be present at each centre.

This year, 273 flying squads will be paying visits to the examination centres. The squads will be giving surprise visits at the sensitive centres, as well as on days of difficult subjects.
