Donald Trump serves as grand marshal for Daytona 500

The Daytona 500 was delayed by rain for the second time on Sunday, dampening NASCAR's season opener that started with a visit from U.S. President Donald Trump. Ahead of the race, Trump hailed NASCAR fans for never forgetting "that no matter who wins the race, what matters most is God, family and country". The first delay lasted 50 minutes and came moments after the presidential motorcade completed a ceremonial parade lap around the 2 1/2-mile track.
