NEW DELHI: Shares of infrastructure companies were trading in the red in Monday's afternoon session.

Shares of NHPC (down​ 5.97 per cent)​, IRB Infrastructure Developers (down​ 4.14 per cent)​, NCC (down​ 4.05 per cent)​, Engineers India (down​ 3.31 per cent)​, CG Power & Industrial Solutions (down​ 2.79 per cent)​, NBCC (India) (down​ 2.34 per cent)​, NTPC (down​ 2 per cent)​, Bharat Heavy Electricals (down​ 1.8 per cent)​, Adani Power (down​ 1.76 per cent)​, Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone (down​ 1.55 per cent)​, CESC (down​ 1.38 per cent)​, Tata Power Company (down​ 1.3 per cent)​, Siemens (down​ 0.64 per cent)​, Container Corporation of India (down​ 0.5 per cent)​, Larsen & Toubro (down​ 0.43 per cent)​, Power Grid Corporation of India (down​ 0.05 per cent)​ and Bharti Airtel (down​ 0.03 per cent)​ were the top losers in the index.

The Nifty Infrastructure index was trading 0.51 per cent down at 3263.1 around 11:47 am.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 17.05 points at 12096.4 , while the BSE Sensex was down 37.91 points at 41,219.83.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 20 were trading in the green, while 30 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, LIC Housing Fin, SBI, SAIL, ONGC, Tata Motors, GAIL, Bharti Airtel and BHEL were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
