MYSURU: A cook who was working in a fast food joint committed
suicide as the owner was demanding that the cook repay the
loan he took from him.
According to police, Mahesh (34), a resident of Gowripura in Bilikere, committed suicide by hanging in his house in Hinkal. He was working as a cook in the fast food joint run by Shashikumar for the past three years.
It is said that Shashikumar had given Rs 70,000 as loan to Mahesh. Even after years, Mahesh had not returned the money and when the owner started to demand he repay the money, Mahesh even stopped going to work.
Irritated by the developments, on February 14 evening, Shashikumar visited Mahesh's house. But he found Mahesh hanging from the ceiling. Shashikumar immediately called Mahesh's relatives and friends. The relatives who rushed to the house found a suicide note in the trouser where it was written that Shashikumar is responsible for his death.
Based on the complaint of Mahesh's father, police have arrested Shashikumar.
