Chandigarh: Suspected coronavirus case at PGI

CHANDIGARH: A suspected coronavirus case was reported at PGI here on Saturday evening.
A resident of Sector 37 working in a Singapore-based company had arrived in Chandigarh on Monday. Sources said he developed flu-like symptoms after four days. The 36-year-old reported to PGI, where seeing his travel history, he was admitted to communicable disease isolation ward.
"The patient is stable. He is not on a ventilator. Samples have been sent to AIIMS, Delhi. Reports are expected within a day or two," said a doctor. Sources said his family members have been quarantined at home. Earlier, a suspected case of the virus was admitted to PGI on January 27. He later tested negative.
