HYDERABAD: Congress has postponed its 'maha dharna' which was supposed to take place on February 16 at Dharna Chowk. It will now be held on February 17.
"The police has given permission to hold the dharna on Febraury 17," said TPCC president N Uttam Kumar Reddy. The protest comes after a recent Supreme Court order on reservations stating that reservations were not a fundamental right.
"The BJP government at the centre and TRS government in Telangana are trampling upon the rights of SCs, STs, OBCs and minorities. The Congress will stand behind these communities and ensure that reservations are continued," TPCC president Uttam Kumar Reddy said.
