Surat: There is good news for residents of Surat as the registration process for their documents at city’s Kumbharia sub-registrar’s office is set to go online from next month. People will not need to go to the sub-registrar’s office to take token for document registration. They will need to get from March 2 onwards prior online appointment at their preferred time and date through https://garvi.gujarat.gov.in. This they would be able to do by going to online appointment scheduler menu and providing details about themselves like their names,
addresses,
mobile numbers,
e-mail IDs etc.The Kumbharia sub-registrar office is one of the eight sub-registrar offices in the state where this pilot project is being implemented. Government officials say only people with prior online appointments will be entertained at these sub-registrar offices.
“In 2019, total 6,373 documents were registered at Kumbharia sub-registrar office,’’ an officer said.
Surat district has 18 sub-registrar offices at Palsana, Choryasi, Udhana, Surat city-1, Olpad, Bardoli, Mangrol, Umarpada, Hazira, Nanpura, Althan, Mahuva, Mandvi, Navagam, Rander and three other places.
