Rs 1.65 lakh realised in KMC’s anti-encroachment campaign

Kanpur: The enforcement wing of Zone-3 of Kanpur Municipal Corporation (KMC) on Saturday launched an anti-encroachment campaign and realised Rs 1,65,000 as fine from the encroachers.
The anti-encroachment squad demolished several illegal encroachments on the road between Sagarpuri and Jai Gurudev guest house. The team also took action against two units for storing dirty polythene and imposed a fine to the tune of Rs. 50,000 on each unit.
The team was led by Bhanu Pratap Singh, additional municipal commissioner and Radhey Shyam Patel, in charge of zone 3. In zone- 4, 1500 grams of polythene was seized. The officials removed encroachment from P Road and realised Rs 11,000 from illegal occupiers. They also realised Rs 3000 as fine for recovery of polythene, Shyam Patel said.
