Janhvi Kapoor and Selena Gomez serve major hair switch-ups

Janhvi Kapoor wore ultra-long hair extensions as she walked the runway for Reliance Trends at Lakmé Fashion Week summer/resort 2020. The actor wore her new waist-length strands in beachy curls across one shoulder with a middle-part—a distinctive upgrade from her usual roster of sleeker hairstyles. To fully lean into the mermaid vibe of her hairdo, Kapoor complemented it with colourful nail polish and a shimmery eyeshadow. Bella Hadid also opted for extensions at New York Fashion Week, sporting wavy brunette strands and lush false lashes in a bathroom mirror selfie. Elsewhere, Jennifer Lopez, who has been twisting and moulding her hair into a myriad of hairstyles during awards season and for the Super Bowl, showed up at the Independent Spirit Awards in a short, sleek bob that she tucked behind one ear. Selena Gomez also elevated her hairstyle by cutting her ends into a mid-length lob with fringe bangs. She debuted the new cut on Instagram, styling it curly like a ’70s inspired shag cut.

Kim Kardashian West and Sonakshi Sinha play with dramatic eye makeup

Kim Kardashian West attended her first Vanity Fair Oscars Party with wet, scrunched-up strands and a nude lip, which are her signatures for big-ticket events. Her makeup artist, Ashley Kholm, went with super sleek, brushed-up brows and a brownish nude smoky eye, tracing black eyeliner along the upper and lower lash lines to create an extended Cleopatra-inspired flick. Sonakshi Sinha followed suit, but picked a navy blue, sparkly eyeliner instead of a basic black version to complement her amber coloured lenses. Sonam Kapoor Ahuja and Lilly Singh both debuted gold swathed eyelids—the former wore them for a promotional event in Abu Dhabi, while Singh took hers to the Oscars. While dramatic colours—like Halima Aden's jewel-toned eyeshadow and Vanessa Hudgens' purple eyeliner—serve a great way to amp up a look, Malaika Arora and Jacqueline Fernandez proved that you just need to layer on black eyeshadow all over the lid to really make a statement.
