You can get FASTags for free till Feb-end

LUCKNOW: Here’s another chance to get a FASTag as the NHAI has extended the deadline to get it for free till February 29.
FASTags can be obtained for free at RTO, government esuvidha kendras, select petrol pumps, NHAI toll plaza counters from February 15. To increase digital toll collection, the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) has decided to waive off FASTag fee till February 29. Although the cost of installation is just Rs 100, officials believe that offer to provide it free will motivate people to get FASTags at the earliest.Earlier, NHAI had issued free FASTags from January 21 to 27.
As per the NHAI data, over 3,000 vehicles go through each toll plaza everyday in the city, of this only 50% of vehicles have installed FAST ags in their four-wheelers. The remaining vehicles go through the cash lane.
