SURAT: This Valentine's Day is going to be one tough, rough day for the 48-year-old man who eloped with his son's to-be mother-in-law only to return back and get separated. Their love story ended in a heap of regrets after their children’s wedding was also called off and the couple, once again forced to go separate ways!
“I will not let her suffer due to me. I will ensure that she gets to live a good life even if her husband does not accept her,” the man said, remorse reflecting in his voice and eyes.
So, even as the world celebrates love, the man, who has been reunited with his wife and three children, after he and his ‘new-found-old-love' were forced to return home in Surat, cuts a sorry and lonely figure.
More so, as her ‘love interest’ finds herself in a more desperate situation as her husband refused to accept her after her love-misadventure.
“I don't want to keep any relation with her now. She returned but if she really wanted to return, she should have come back in two or three days. But after spending so many days out with another man I am not going to accept her,” said Mukul.
Meanwhile, after the public embarrassment for her family members, the woman accepts it was a major mistake and is depressed. Family members say they are trying to normalize the situation and unite her with her family.
The two had fallen in love some 26 years ago after the man saw her at a wedding. However, her father rejected his marriage proposal citing he was not a good match financially.
Their romance was rekindled after the duo met in a besna. Hours of talking on the phone led them to fix their children's marriage but they ended up eloping after the husband found out the woman was having an ‘affair' with her daughter's prospective father-in-law.
