Cop’s son snatches cash from fuel station staff, nabbed

Ludhiana: Workers of a petrol pump in Kitchlu Nagar on Wednesday evening caught son of a police officer for allegedly snatching cash from their colleague after getting fuel filled in his vehicle.
Raju Sharma, an employee at the petrol pump, said the accused, who was driving a Swift, sped away after snatching the cash from a pump worker. He said they chased him down after around 4 km after and hand him over to police.
Sharma claimed the accused had applied the same trick to loot money at other petrol pumps.
Police officials said the accused would be booked under the relevant sections. They added his father, an ASI, had disowned his son.
