SWANSEA - Partners Insurance Group, an independent insurance agency with eight locations in southeastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island, has promoted two members of its executive team.
Patrick D. Long of Westport has been named president and chief executive officer. He will take over the leadership reins from Lawrence T. Wilson Jr., who will retire from the post he has held since 2010 as of June 30.
Long, who formerly held the title of Senior Vice President/Chief Sales and Marketing Officer, began his career in the insurance industry in 2003 and joined Partners Insurance Group in 2006. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from Eckerd College and a Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Massachusetts in addition to several nationally recognized industry designations.
Long has been a member of the South Coast Insurance Agents Association since 2011 and previously served as the association president for two terms. He is also an active member of the South Coast Business Alliance. In addition, Long has served on the board of trustees for the Atlantis Charter School in Fall River since 2015.
Lori Chaput of E. Freetown has been named Executive Vice President/Chief Operating Officer. Previously, she held the title of Senior Vice President/Chief Operating Officer. Chaput has 30 years of experience in the insurance industry, beginning her career at John Hancock Insurance in Boston. Prior to joining Partners Insurance Group in 2008, she owned an insurance agency consulting business.
Chaput attended Dean Junior College and the University of Lowell and holds several industry licenses and designations. She is past president of the MA/RI Chapter of Applied Systems Client Network and served as chair of the Chapters Committee. In July of 2017, Chaput was one of 15 women named to Banker & Tradesman’s prestigious “Woman of FIRE” list. She is an active volunteer with organizations including Gifts to Give and the Elements Learning Collaborative.
