Dartmouth police seek court action into secret videotaping complaint

NEW BEDFORD — Dartmouth police have requested a clerk magistrate’s hearing for a 31-year-old Fall River man as part of an investigation into the alleged secret videotaping of a female customer at Fantastic Nails, 436 State Road, police said.

The request for a magistrate’s hearing in New Bedford District Court comes as a result of an investigation by Dartmouth and state police into a female patron’s allegations she was secretly videotaped by an employee using the restroom at the nail salon, Detective Kyle Costa, a spokesman for the Dartmouth Police Department, said in a news release.

Her complaint was filed last month with Dartmouth police, Costa said.
