A man has been killed and another injured after the truck in which they were travelling crashed off a road in the Moreton Bay region on Wednesday afternoon.

Police say the white Mercedes Benz truck veered off the right-side of Ziviani Road in Wamuran about 4.30pm.

The truck then hit a water drain on the side of the single-lane road and rolled onto the passenger side before hitting a power pole.

The 33-year-old male passenger died at the scene, with the 50-year-old driver taken to the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Forensic crash unit investigations are ongoing.
