With the facelifted Vitara Brezza’s launch date (February 15) fast approaching, Maruti Suzuki has started revealing various details and specifications of the sub-4 metre SUV. This time around, the carmaker has revealed the variant list as well as the features that will be on offer in each one. Like before, the Vitara Brezza will be available in four variants - LXI, VXI, ZXI, ZXI+. Dealerships have commenced pre-bookings at a token amount ranging between Rs 11,000 and Rs 21,000. Here’s all of them in detail:
LXI
Kicking things off is the most barebones variant of the Vitara Brezza facelift. Like all other variants, the Vitara Brezza LXI will be powered by a BS6-compliant 1.5-litre K15B petrol engine which produces 105PS and 138Nm. However it is only available with a 5-speed manual gearbox. Feature highlights include halogen headlamps, LED tail lamps, body-coloured ORVMs, fabric upholstery as well as manual day/night rearview mirror. It also features a basic entertainment system with USB, Aux-in and Bluetooth connectivity. Safety kit consists of dual airbags, ABS+EBD, reverse parking sensors, high-speed alert, and more.
Being the base variant, it misses out on a lot of features such as LED headlamps, LED DRLs, alloy wheels, roof rails, as well as a touchscreen infotainment system. Other misses include steering-mounted controls, auto-folding electric ORVMs, reverse parking camera push button start/stop, cruise control and 60:40 split rear seat.
VXI
Next up is the VXI variant which retains all the features from the LXI and is available with a 4-speed automatic gearbox option. Other additions include LED headlamps, LED DRLs, wheel covers, illuminated glove box, hill hold (AT variants only), and smart entry system with push button start/stop., as well as auto AC.
It does lack equipment like alloy wheels, roof rails, LED front fog lamps as well as a touchscreen infotainment system. It also misses out on equipment like a luggage room accessory socket, reverse parking camera, rear wiper, steering-mounted audio controls, height-adjustable front seatbelts, auto headlamps, and cruise control.
ZXI
The ZXI variant gets all the bits from the VXI variant and features additional equipment like alloy wheels, rear wiper, and a height-adjustable driver’s seat. It also gets a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, navigation, 60:40 split rear seats, and cruise control. It only misses out on features such as rain-sensing auto wipers, auto headlamps, auto-fold electric ORVMs, and a reverse camera.
ZXI+
The most feature-loaded variant of the facelifted Vitara Brezza comes with bits such as rain-sensing auto wipers, auto headlamps, auto-fold electric ORVMs, a reverse camera, leather-wrapped steering wheel, and dual-tone exterior body shades. Other additions include front fog lamps and two tweeters.
Expect the Vitara Brezza facelift to be launched with a price similar to the current diesel variant which starts from Rs 7.62 lakh (ex-showroom). It will take on the likes of the Hyundai Venue, Ford EcoSport, Mahindra XUV300, and the Tata Nexon.
